Founded in 2017 by two local cartoonists, the festival is growing every year with a bigger and better catalogue of exhibitions, workshops and events. The support of local volunteers, well-wishers and business has been vital to this growth and success, and we now introduce a simple way to show your support: Becoming a Friend.

By becoming a Friend of the Galway Cartoon Festival you can help support and develop one of the country’s top celebrations of humorous art. Benefits include official invitation to exclusive launches and events, inside news, and of course swag. It’s a great way to keep up with developments at the Galway Cartoon Festival, and also makes a lovely gift for a fun-loving friend or family member.

There are three membership levels:

• Pencil Pal – €100 per year
• Inked-in Amigo – €200 per year
• Full Colour Friend – €400 per year
